Aryabhata

Aryabhata was a Indian great austronomer.
He was born on B.476 at Kerala.
his inventions:
  • Aryabhata gave the value pi as 3.1416.
  • He was the first to deduce that the earth is round and it  rotates on its own axis creating day and nights.     
  • He also declared that moon is dark and shines only because of sunlight.
  • He belived that the earth is centre of the universe.
  • Aryabhata devised a method to express numbers like 100,000,000 in words. 
  • He actually found solution to the intermediate equation like ax-by=c.






Sir.C.V.Raman


His full name is 

Chandrashekara Venkata Raman 
and Sir.C.V.Raman born on November 7,1888 at Tiruchinapalli

Sir.C.V.Raman is the first Nobel  scientist of India.

He won the Nobel prize in 1930 in physics for his discovery 'Raman Effect'.

his inventions:
The Raman Effect is importantin understanding the molecular structure of  chemical compounds..it is the phenomenon that causes changes in nature of light when it passed through a transpernt medium whether solid,liquid or gaseous.

February 28,annually is being celebrated as National Science day in India.
